Focus On Today

Why Just Today?

Many of us have set goals for our lives and we want to applaud you for doing so. However, in doing so many of us in business have overlooked our daily goals. In “Focus On Today” we want to make sure that we not only focus our efforts on today but we also have a plan for each part of our day and drill even further down so we can accomplish all that we can.

How?

First, let’s look at the appointments that you have set for yourself today (assuming that you have set appointments). Do these appointments help to move you forward toward your overall goals or are they appointments of convenience? In other words, are these really important appointments or are you trying to be nice to someone?

Don’t Waste Time – Stay Focused!

Time is the most valuable commodity you have! We will never get any of our time back. We are all trying to build our business, grow our income, and secure our futures but we aren’t focused on how much time we will have once we get there. Don’t waste time with things that will ultimately hold you back, hurt your future or spend it with those that don’t respect you or your time.

Now don’t misunderstand me, you need to make time for your family as that is of the highest importance as well as for your friends and to help those that are not doing so well.

I am talking about those people that create drama, whine constantly, have no goals and seem determined to keep you from yours (you know who you are).

What Is Your Goal For This Call?

When you place a phone call to someone, what is your goal for that call? When you make a visit to a customer or a prospect, what is your goal for the visit? Know what you are trying to accomplish before you pick up the phone and before you walk in to your appointment so you know where you are headed.

Will your phone call and your visit help to move you closer to your overall goals? Even more important, will your phone calls and your visits move your customers and prospects closer to their goals?

This is really a giant question which we will dig deeper into on another post but keep this on mind because if you help them move closer to their goals they will help you move closer to yours. What a great world we live in!
